Staff and pupils from Ormiston Park Academy are celebrating after being awarded a top digital accolade. The school has been given ‘Centre of Excellence status’ by Prodigy Learning after three of its students won awards for their dazzling Microsoft skills. Top-achieving students included Alfie Fuller Burgess from Year X who took part in the world Word finals in Dallas last year to become UK Word Champion, as well as Year X student George Repole, who got a whopping nine Microsoft Office Specialist certificates and Logan Cooper from Year X who was runner-up in the UK Word finals. Laurence Boulter (Ormiston Park IT Infrastructure Lead) added: “We are very proud of our status as a Microsoft IT Academy and even more proud of those pupils who earned those 250 professional certifications over the last year.”
