Two lorry accident causes gridlock in West Thurrock
An accident involving a car and two lorries on West Thurrock Way has caused travel chaos in West Thurrock.
Ambulances were called at 3.10pm to the A126 to treat a woman and a child for minor injuries.
Both have been taken to Basildon Hospital for further treatment, with neither reported to be in a life-threatening condition.
The A126, West Thurrock Way is reported to be partially blocked between the B186 and London Road, Grays.
The accident and closure of the QE2 bridge this morning have caused widespread delays in the area, with slow moving traffic reported in Chafford Hundred and Purfleet, and all the way down the A13 to Tilbury, along with queues on the A13 eastbound to Rainham.
