A WOMAN was fined £50 for littering from a vehicle in South Ockendon.
On October 16, Keedra Farnan of Tamar Drive, was witnessed by an Environment Enforcement Officer throwing a cigarette butt from a vehicle in Belhus Park, South Ockendon.
Councillor Jane Pothercary, in charge of public protection, said: “At the beginning of November we prosecuted two people for similar offences.
“I’m pleased to hear that officers are taking reports seriously and acting upon them swiftly.
“Let this be the message litterbugs and fly tippers hear – Thurrock is not your bin and if you use it as such we will fine you.”
