Council fines slammed on two women who 'threw fag butts from car windows'
Council fines have been slammed on two women who threw cigarette butts from their car windows.
Two women who flicked butts from their window were told to pay up £50 by Thurrock Council.
A fixed penalty notice was issued to a 44-year-old woman from Stanford-le-Hope after she was spotted throwing the butt while driving round the Orsett Cock roundabout in July.
She paid the £50 fine.
A woman from South Ockendon was also seen throwing a butt from her car at the Treacle Mine roundabout in Grays at its junction with Long Lane in June.
She also paid the £50 fixed penalty notice.
