YOUNGSTERS in Thurrock have won a place in this year’s Christmas pantomime.
Polka Dot Pantomimes is putting on Sleeping Beauty, following last year’s record-breaking Snow White panto at the Thameside Theatre, in Grays.
Two dozen youngsters were picked in the auditions to sing and dance in the show, ranging from ten to 16 and hailing from Stanford-le-Hope, Grays, Chafford Hundred, Tilbury, Purfleet and South Ockendon.
Darren Maddison, of Polka Dot Pantomimes, and choreographer Vikki Bussell said they were very impressed with the high level of ability from all the youngsters.
The pantomime, which is set to star Jeff Brazier, will run from Friday December 4, to Sunday, January 3.
Jeff is coming to Grays after successful appearances in Dancing on Ice and This Morning.
