Thurrock Council has released a list of roads due to be shut due for repair works in August.

The council will be carrying out a series of road improvements and repairs on streets around the borough.

Most of the roads will be closed for two or three days.

Heath Road, Chadwell St Mary (from Hornsby Lane), will be closed in both directions for 500 metres for carriageway repairs and resurfacing work on Monday and Tuesday, August 3 and 4, between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

Springhouse Road, Corringham, between its junction with Southend Road and Gordan Road closed from 9am to 5pm on the Tuesday August 4 and Wednesday August 5 and is again for carriageway repairs and resurfacing.

Daiglen Drive in South Ockendon will be closed between 9am and 5pm on Wednesday and Thursday, 5 and 6 August between its junctions with Stifford Road and Fairham Avenue for carriageway repairs and resurfacing.

Purfleet By-pass at the eastern end will be closed overnight for resurfacing work starting at 8pm on Tuesday, 6 August until 5am on the Friday morning, and the same times on the Friday/Saturday night.

Lodge Lane, Grays, from its junction with the Daneholes roundabout to its junction at Piggs Corner: vehicles will be prevented from driving westbound from Sunday August 16 at 8am till 5pm.

Thackeray Avenue - from Dickens Avenue for a distance of 30 metres in both directions – for the repair of a collapsed sewer on Monday, 3 August, from 9.30am until Tuesday, 4 August at 9.30am.

Lampits Lane, Corringham, from house number 77 to its junction with Lampits Hill in both directions for the replacement of a manhole cover, between 8pm and midnight on Tuesday, 4 August.

Brookmans Avenue, Grays, from Blackshots Lane for a distance of 20 metres in both directions for National Grid to carry out gas works, between Monday, 10 August at 8am and Friday, 14 August at 5pm.
