THE Thurrock Education Awards will return in November following the success of last year’s inaugural event.
Once again the Backstage Centre at the High House Production Park in Purfleet will play host to the event which will showcase the great and the good of education in the borough.
Categories include aspiring leader, teacher of the year and governing body of the year.
Council leader John Kent, who’s also in charge of education, said: “Last year’s event showed just how far Thurrock and its schools have come.
“The fact that hundreds of nominations were received shows we have a thriving education community and we are proud of our educational successes.”
Nominations for the awards opened this week, and will close on October 9 ahead of the ceremony on Friday, 20 November.
