BRITAIN’S Got Talent stars Youth Creation are among the stars to headline at this year’s Karis May Darling Foundation Variety Show.

The annual event, put on by the Darling family to raise money for underprivileged children, has pulled in even more big names this year to entertain the crowds.

More than 5,000 turned out for last year’s show at Gable Hall School and, according to founder Kerri Darling, the event is “turning into a festival”.

This year the show will welcome TV stars, including Youth Creation, whomade it to the finals of Britain’s Got Talent, as well as Voice finalist Brooklyn Lammiman and Harry Durbridge, star of Towie.

Also headlining are the Duallers Ska Band and the Tootsie Rollers, who last year performed in front of the Queen.

Kerri Darling set up the foundation with husband John, after they lost their daughter Karis May to meningitis at the age of 12, in 2011.

Describing the event, she said: “Because the show tends to go so well and every year it gets bigger and bigger, this year could be our busiest yet! It’s like a festival now! But we try to keep it cheap to come.”

The organisers have also organised a professional footballer, fairground rides, a beer tent, bouncy castle and traditional stalls.

Last year the Variety Show raised £10,000, with which the foundation built the KMD Centre, in Corringham Park, and this year it is hoping to do as well.

The show is on Saturday, July 11, at Gable Hall School. Entrance is £1, by donation only.
