A MAN has been hospitalised with serious injuries after being run over at a pedestrian crossing in Woodgrange Drive in Southchurch.
The 59-year-old man is in Royal London Hospital with serious injuries after the collision, which took place close to the Spar convienence store on the road.
A 49-year-old woman driving a grey Toyota has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, following the incident which took place at around 6.30pm last night.
The road was partially closed but re-opened fully by 10.15pm. The casualty suffered multiple injuries.
Witnesses should call 101.
