Jackie Doyle-Price has pledged to continue her fight against 'car cruisers' at Lakeside after her Wikipedia page was hacked last week.

Allegedly, hackers stealthily broke into the MP's Wikipedia page and put up lines about her being a 'grid girl' at the Monaco Grand Prix.

The entry was removed shortly after going up online.

The offended MP tweeted shortly afterwards from her handle ‏@JackieDP: "So the car cruisers have edited my Wikipedia page. Very amusing. Won't stop me fighting for Thurrock residents."

A spokeswoman for 'Wikimedia' said: " The Wikimedia Foundation is always disappointed to hear of allegations of vandalism on Wikipedia. The vast majority of vandalism is reversed by volunteer editors before anyone ever sees it, such as the particular case you mentioned.

"One of Wikipedia’s fundamental principles is “Assume good faith.” This means it is nearly impossible to completely safeguard against someone who is determined to manipulate the intended purpose of the encyclopedia.

The offending entry, which was removed shortly after going up online, reads:

Driving Career

Doyle-Price made her debut to the car scene in July 1994 as a promo model for SEC. Her modelling career quickly came to a halt after being caught reckless driving at the notorious street racing venue Motherwell way. After being given a 12 month driving ban she then returned to the scene in mid 1995 with the award winning Vauxhall Nova max power soundcar, this vehicle then later gave her more trouble with police after being found that the decibel rating of the sound system could potentially destroy a young child's ear drums. The car scene for her came to an end for many years after this incident. She then made another infamous return in 2011 in one of Honda's most common rice burners..the Civic Type-R. Yet again this came to an abrupt end as she lost control lapping Lakeside GP ending up on the pedestrian pathway next to the lake. This led to her retirement in the car scene and now sports the Conservative party against street racing in Thurrock.
