BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche is confident that his side will be fired up to keep their season alive at Hull City on Saturday.

The Clarets will be relegated if they fail to win at the KC Stadium but Dyche is certain that his side will be fully motivated, despite their chances of survival being extremely slim.

Burnley must secure victory in all three of their final matches and hope that two of Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Leicester City, Hull and Sunderland slip up badly.

“The players are motivated,” Dyche said.

“You saw at West Ham that there’s no lack of motivation.

“We’ve been searching for moments of quality and more moments of them, but there’s absolutely no lack of motivation.

“It’s always been about the next game, you can only focus on one game at a time.

“It’s just whether we can keep creating and get to a point of taking those chances, and see where it takes us.”

Midfielder Matt Taylor has also vowed to battle on this weekend.

“There’s three games left and we’ll continue to fight,” he said.

“We won’t feel sorry for ourselves. We’ll dust ourselves down and go again.

“We have three big games but we have to go and try to win all three.

“As a professional footballer you have pride, so we’ve got to go out there and give performances.”

Sam Vokes has missed the last two games with a thigh problem and is being assessed ahead of the trip to the KC Stadium.

“Hopefully he’ll be right for Hull,” Dyche said.

“He’s got a minor injury, we’ve had it scanned and there is an injury there so we’ve just got to make sure that it clears up.”

Dyche feels his side have deserved more from matches this season, citing a plethora of narrow defeats.

“We’ve been in every game no matter where we’ve been, the margins are tight,” he said.

“We’ve been 1-0, 2-1 etc etc, but you’ve got to get on the right side of them and that’s been our nemesis, being on the right side of those margins more often than not.

“We haven’t managed that so that’s been the real frustration of it all.”
