Martin Clutterbuck returned a magnificent haul of 7-46 as West Witney romped to a nine-wicket win at home to Risinghurst in their opening OCA League Division 5 encounter.

Clutterbuck’s efforts helped to dismiss Risinghurst for 166, despite 51 apiece for Martin Kalyan and Gaurav Samuel.

Greg Inge then hit 95 not out and Rhys Jones 56 not out as West Witney eased to 167-1.

Steventon beat hosts Charlbury 2nd by 29 runs, with a fine all-round display from Lalit Chablani.

Chablani hit 60 in Steventon’s 194 all out, before returning figures of 5-45 as Charlbury were bowled out for 165, despite 91 from Nikolas Kirby.

A haul of 5-44 from Zak Jarvis proved in vain for Minster Lovell 2nd as they lost by 21 runs against visitors Sunningwell.

Thomas Harris top-scored with 53 in Sunningwell’s 163-9, and Minster managed only 142-4 in their reply.

Mykel Ryan’s 5-60 was in vain for hosts Kilkenny as they fell to a 49-run defeat against west Oxfordshire rivals Hailey in Division 4.

The visitors were all out for 208, Sean King top-scoring with 40, before Chris King (3-34) and Dan King (3-36) combined to restrict Kilkenny to 159-8.

Swinbrook edged out visitors Stanton Harcourt by four wickets.

Chasing Stanton’s 212-8, James Snow (73) and Neil Wilson (41) led Swinbrook to 213-6.

In Division 6, a strong bowling performance from Gerald Holford (4-21) and Ady Brooksbank (3-9) saw hosts Bampton to a two-wicket win against Faringdon 2nd in a low-scoring game.

Faringdon were shot out for 97, but Richard Pitt (42) steered Bampton home at 98-8.

Dan Stafford top-scored with 72 to help Chipping Norton 2nd to an eight-wicket home win against Shrivenham 2nd.

Earlier, Pete Smith (4-29) and Rik Yapp (4-39) combined to dismiss Shrivenham for 145, before Stafford saw Chippy to 148-2.

Sam Walker made an unbeaten 108 and Jack Buckingham 57 as they helped Hanborough to a seven-wicket victory at home to Tetsworth 2nd in Division 7.

The visitors set 230-7 with Paul Langford hitting 63.

But Walker's superb ton saw Hanborough cruise in at 233-3.

Wootton & Boars Hill 2nd beat visitors Combe by 55 runs in Division 8.

Batting first, Wootton posted 256-6 as Michael Hawthorn hit 81 and Mark Taylor 63.

Combe were held to 201-9 in their reply, Martin Bungay taking 3-14.

Jake Souch (78), Stuart Wastie (70no) and Ian Urquart (63no) helped Stanton Harcourt 2nd to a crushing 220-run victory at home to Kidlington 3rd in Division 10.

Stanton rattled up 270-3, before Kidlington were dismissed for 50 in reply.
