Sir - I notice that the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Worcester, Federica Smith, is not from our city/county.
This leads me to question why the Lib Dems would even consider promoting Mrs Smith to candidacy.
I don't doubt her skills as a politician, and perhaps she would make for an excellent candidate in her home town of Taunton, but how would she be able to emphasise with the needs of Worcester's people?
Her awareness of the problems people face in this city of ours would be negligible at best.
I realise that outsiders being elected in constituency's they have no connection to is nothing new, however this is a practice that should be stopped. We need local MPs for local people
