C2C is accepting tickets for the Greater Anglia line after a train fault caused a string of cancellations.

A faulty train at Forest Gate has led to the 8.30am and 8.52am Southend Victoria to London Liverpool Street, as well as the 9.55am and 10.13am services between London Liverpool Street and Southend Victoria being cancelled.

c2c tweeted earlier this morning that it was accepting Greater Anglia tickets between Southend and London Fenchurch Street.

A spokesman for Abelio Greater Anglia said: "We would like to apologise to passengers who were delayed this morning after a train developed a fault, following a problem with the overhead power lines, between Chadwell Heath and Romford.

"Services were delayed between 08:00 and 11:00 and we worked with Network Rail to resolve the problem as quickly as possible."
