ALKALINE Trio have been revealed as the Saturday night headliner at the 2000trees festival.

The seminal Chicago punk outfit will top the bill on the closing night of the event, which runs from July 9 to 11 at Upcote Farm, near Cheltenham.

"We are over the moon to tell you that the one and only Alkaline Trio are flying all the way from the States to close out 2000trees on the Saturday," said a festival spokesman.

Meanwhile, Mclusky have been confirmed as headliners for The Cave on the same day, while Future of the Left, Benjamin Booker, VENNART and Hacktivist have also joined the bill.

"It’s gonna be an awesome end to an awesome weekend packed full of … well awesomeness," the spokesman added.

"And that’s before you take into account our extra special headphone disco that we’ve got lined up."

Acts already confirmed for the festival include Friday night headliners Deaf Havana, The Subways, Kerbdog and Pulled Apart By Horses.

A selection of ticket options are available for 2000trees, detailed at www.twothousandtreesfestival.co.uk/tickets.
