A TRAFFIC accident on the A127 is causing traffic to slow in both directions.
East of England Ambulance Service was called to the Londonbound carriageway just before the A1245 junction at Fairglen Interchange at 11.23am, following reports a lorry had collided with a car.
A Rapid Response Vehicle was sent to the scene, where paramedics assessed those involved in the accident, but no treatment was necessary.
Essex Highways reported debris was being cleared from 11.40am, with a further update at noon explaining vehicles were being recovered.
This has caused traffic to slow as far as past the A129 at Rayleigh Weir, with the accident also causing traffic to slow on the eastbound carriage past the scene of the accident.
One lane remains blocked and traffic is also slow on the A1245 southbound from the A129 London Road.
UPDATE: The incident was cleared by 1.30pm.
