THE Home Secretary Theresa May joined Tory campaigners in Thurrock to help with Jackie Doyle-Price’s election campaign.

Mrs May boarded the Tory battle bus before touring the constituency, hot on the heels of visits from Prime Minister David Cameron and Chancellor George Osborne.

Ms Doyle-Price, hoping to be re-elected for a second term in Thurrock, said, “The Conservative Party is getting behind my campaign to be re-elected in Thurrock. We are determined to secure a majority and Thurrock will be part of that.

“Labour and UKIP will try and persuade you otherwise but be assured, I still have great ambitions for what I can do for Thurrock and I have am determined to win again.

“I am delighted by the positive response we are getting on the bus. Most people are very pleased to see us and many people are showing their appreciation. It is really motivating for the whole campaign”
