Council hope to have South Ockendon families made homeless by yesterday's high winds back by the weekend
Following yesterday’s incident at Derwent Parade in South Ockendon and the continued high winds throughout the day, Thurrock Council contractors are today working to remove material from the site.
The council aims to weatherproof the homes so the affected families will be able to move back as soon as practicable, hopefully over the coming weekend.
All the families are safe and either temporarily staying with family or in hotel accommodation supplied by the council’s Housing Department.
