Man accused of dodging tax on tobacco
A MAN will appear in court, charged with trying to dodge tax on imported tobacco.
Ivo Pocheliev, 39, of Linton Glade, Croydon is accused of acquiring and keeping 259.4g of Virginia rolling tobacco in to North Stifford between March 2 and 5.
It is alleged he did not pay tax on the goods to HMRC.
Basildon Magistrates’ Court judged the case was so serious that it was adjourned to Basildon Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on a date to be set.
