THE Hardie Park subway in Stanford-le-Hope will be closed for “several months” for refurbishment.
Thurrock Council and its contractors have liaised with local schools to ensure children know of the closure and their parents can make alternative arrangements to avoid the subway between the park and Silvertown Road The subway is due to close on Monday, February 9, and will remain shut until Wednesday, May 27.
The alternative route for pedestrians should be via The Manorway, Silvertown Avenue, Abbotts Drive, Southend Road, Scratton Road, and Hardie Road.
A similar closure – from Wednesday, March 18, until Wednesday, May 27 – will be in force at the Thors Oak to Abbotts Hall Chase subway, again for refurbishment.
The alternative route will be The Manorway, Corringham Road, and Abbotts Hall Chase.
