A MAN has been left with a broken leg and wrist following a violent street robbery.
The victim, in his 40s, was walking along Afton Drive, South Ockendon, when we was approached by two men on a motorbike.
One of the thugs got off the bike and attempted to punch the man, causing him to fall over.
This lead to his broken leg and wrist.
The motorbike rider then punched him in the face as he was collapsed on the floor in pain, causing a nose bleed.
The pair demanded money and took the victim’s wallet, which contained just a small amount of cash.
They fled in the direction of Broxburn Drive.
The victim, who lives in the South Ockendon area, remains in hospital.
The robbery took place around 10.30pm yesterday.
