Much-loved classic the Wizard of Oz will be walking the yellow brick road to the Thameside Theatre this April.

The production comes hot-on-the-heels of Polka Dot’s “Snow White” – which had a sell-out run and brought rave reviews for the company.

The story follows Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tinman and Lion as they follow the famous yellow-brick road on a perilous journey to the Emerald City to ask the Wizard of Oz for help.

Polka Dot Pantomime have promised the show will feature stunning costumes, songs from the film score including ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’, fabulous scenery and lively choreography.

A West End cast of performers will bring the story to life in a specially-adapted theatre version of the movie.

Thameside Theatre will have the show on Thursday, April 2, with shows at 1pm and 3.30pm.

Tickets are £11 and available calling the box office on 0845 3005264, or visiting www.Thurrock.gov.uk/thameside-theatre.
