A HAPLESS crook has been caught on CCTV stealing diesel...in a stolen truck.
Police have released a CCTV image of the man, believed to be in his 20s or 30s, filling up at the Kent Elms service station in Leigh in a white Toyota Hilux which was reported stolen from Barling at about 2pm on December 22.
Footage shows the man filling the stolen truck with nearly £22 of diesel before driving off without making any attempt to pay for the fuel.
He is believed to be white with longish brown curly hair and wearing a green parka jacket and green jeans.
Anyone with information about the man, or knows the whereabouts of the truck with registration number L726 MEV, should contact investigating officer PC Deborah Martin at Leigh police station on non-emergency number 101, extension 477125, or on 07870 506859.
