WITNESSES are being sought following an accident in which a quad biker was seriously injured.
The 37-year-old man from Canvey suffered serious chest injuries after losing control of a quad bike on Castle View Road at about 6.20pm on December 19.
He was taken to Basildon Hospital before being transferred to the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel.
An eight-year-old boy, who was a passenger on the quad bike, received slight injuries.
Police closed a section of Castle View Road for several hours while forensic investigations were carried out.
At this stage it is not believed any other vehicle was involved in the crash and the reason for the man’s loss of control is being investigated.
Any witnesses, or anyone with information or CCTV coverage of the incident, should contact investigating officers at Laindon road policing unit on non-emergency number 101.
