A GROUP of mums is hosting a New Year’s Eve party to raise funds for a worthy cause.
Jessica Etherton and some of her friends decided to raise money for a charity after the young daughter of a family friend was diagnosed with a rare bowel disease.
Isla Johnson, three, was diagnosed earlier this year and now Mrs Etherton and her friends are hoping to help raise money for Port, a charity which funds research into chronic intestinal pseudo- obstruction The party will be held at East Thurrock Football Club, in Rookery Hill, Corringham, on December 31. Jessica said: “It’s going to be an old-fashioned family disco for all people of different ages.
“There will be a DJ and it’s going to be a lot of fun.
“We want to do our bit by helping Isla, as well as such an amazing charity.”
Guests can look forward to a raffle with top prizes donated by Towie stars and football clubs.
Tickets are priced at £10 for an adult and £5 per child.
Those under two gain entry for free.
