Fire crews tackle flat blaze
TWO fire crews spent half an hour extinguishing a fire on a first floor flat.
Firefighters from Southend and Shoebury were called to Rosewood Lane, Shoebury, at 1.53am this morning and used one hose reel and breathing apparatus to put out the blaze by 2.20am.
They also used a thermal imaging camera to check for any remaining hotspots and the police and the fire service will now conduct an investigation.
