A LOCAL dog hit the big time at Earls Court last weekend, taking home the title of Dog the Judge Would Most like to Take Home at London’s biggest dog event, Discover Dogs.

Nemo, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever owned by Natalie Kemp from South Ockendon in Essex was named Dog the Judge Would Most like to Take Home in the Companion Dog Club competition.

Owner Natalie said: “I’m really happy. Nemo is really cheeky and naughty, he’s such a character but can be good when wants to be. He’s just awesome and I thought we should give it a try.

“It was really worth it. We’re so pleased!”

The competition saw hundreds of club members’ dogs of all ages, shapes and sizes step into the ring to compete in a series of purebred and fun categories.

Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club spokesperson, said: “The Companion Dog Club competition welcomes crossbreeds and purebreds of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds, and is always one of the great highlights of Discover Dogs as it gives all kinds of dogs the chance to shine.

“Nemo and Natalie have done really well to beat off some stiff competition and win the hearts of the judges.”
