PALMER’S College celebrated the hard work of students at an annual prize giving ceremony held on Friday.

The event, which was held at the Civic Hall in Grays celebrated the success of more than 300 students for a variety of endeavours, including outstanding achievement in their exams, contributing to the cultural and social life of the College, work in the community and 100% attendance.

The majority of prizes are provided by the William Palmer College Educational Trust, who generously give a huge amount each year to the students in prize money and help with financial assistance in other areas.

Mark Vinall, Principal of Palmer’s College said: "It is always wonderful to be able to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students and it is a great way to congratulate them on all the hard work they put in during their time at Palmer’s College.

“I would also like to pay special thanks to the William Palmer College Educational Trust for making this event possible and all the businesses and individuals who have sponsored prizes for our students.”

The Deputy Mayor of Thurrock Cllr Sue Gray attended the event along with other local dignitaries, sponsors and the friends and families of the prize winners.
