Two arrested after man's skull fractured
TWO men have been arrested and bailed on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after a man’s skull was fractured in an assault.
The 21-year-olds, from Benfleet and Basildon, were arrested following an assault on a 22-year-old from Leigh in the early hours of Saturday, which took place on Chichester Road in Southend, before being released on police bail until February 4.
The 22-year-old was rushed to Southend Hospital by paramedics where he remains in a stable condition.
Any witnesses to the assault are asked to call Southend CID on 101.
