A COUNCIL has given itself a pat on the back after receiving more compliments than complaints about its service lately.

Of the 161 pieces of feedback Rochford District Council received between April 1 and September 30, 106 were compliments, translating to a satisfaction rating of almost 66 per cent.

Of the remaining pieces of feedback, 48 were complaints, while seven were neutral comments.

The council’s people and technology spokesman Jill Lucas-Gill said she was pleased with the results but added councillors also wanted to know how they could improve service more.

She said: “I’m delighted with these results as they show that Rochford District Council is truly meeting the expectations of our residents.

“I know that people lead such busy lives, so it’s wonderful that they have taken the time to pay a compliment.

“I would urge everyone to carry on providing us with feedback so that we can improve the service even further.”
