IT’S been quite a week for Breast Cancer Campaign fundraisers in Thurrock.
Just days after releasing their first single – a reworked version of Tina Turner’s hit Simply the Best, tweaked to Simply the Breast – three women from the Thurrock organisation were invited to West Ham by the football club’s co-chairman, David Gold, who responded to a tweet from the women.
As well as seeing the Hammers score a memorable victory against Premier League champions Manchester City from one of the club’s boxes, Clare Mitchell, Nina Rudder, and Lisa Tsouroulla met Grays-born comic and actor Russell Brand and went pitch-side at Upton Park.
Nina told the Gazette: “It was a really good day. We had such a great time.”
Simply the Breast was played at the ground both before the game and at half time.
The song can be downloaded from Amazon and iTunes.
