There are also long queues anti-clockwise, for traffic passing through the tunnels.
Ensignbus reports on its Twitter feed that traffic in the Lakeside area is very heavy.
A Highways Agency tweet at 10.30am read: "All lanes open and vehicles recovered A282 [southbound between] M25 J31 and J1A #DartfordCrossing. Long delays remain however [between] J29 and J30 [clockwise]."
Yesterday evening, the sheer volume of traffic using the Dartford Crossing caused roads in and around Lakeside to clog up, with long delays.
