A MOTHER of three is urging the council to relocate her family after her home in Tilbury was flooded last week.
Liz Tumbridge, 35, moved into the house in Brennan Road last August with her children and partner.
However, the property was flooded following heavy rainfall on Monday, October 13.
She said: “The council knew there was a problem with flooding yet they moved us in. They have since offered to move us into temporary location while they dry the house out.
“I declined their offer and told them we need somewhere permanent.”
A spokesman for the council said it is due to speak to Miss Tumbridge regarding her plea of permanent relocation.
He also said work was done in the house to prevent flooding before Miss Tumbridge moved into the house after a pipe had cracked.
