CELEBRITY Big Brother winner, Jim Davidson, is to perform two shows in Thurrock over the next few months.

The funnyman, who hosted top TV shows, including the Generation Game and Big Break, will be taking the stage at the Circus Tavern, in Purfleet, on Saturday, November 29, as part of a nationwide tour.

He will then headline the Laughing Pod, at Orsett Hall, on Thursday, April 2, next year.

The comedian has topped theatre bills in London’s West End and at major venues all over the country.

He has also starred in and hosted a series of prime-time TV shows.

Jim has also headlined pantomimes and played successful concert tours with his adult show.

His theatre production credits include hit West End shows Buddy and Great Balls of Fire and major family shows throughout the UK.

Jim first had a taste of entertainment at the age of 12 when he was chosen to appear in Ralph Reader’s Gang Show at the Golders Green Hippodrome.

A few years later, he filled in for a stand-up comedian who was due to perform at a pub in Woolwich but did not turn up, and from then on he appeared as often as possible.

He will be returning to the Circus Tavern for one night.

The Laughing Pod returned to the Orsett Hall on Saturday night. The show in April will be compered by popular Thurrock comic Graeme Matthews.
