"Avoid Herongate at all costs"
A MAIN road has been closed following an accident involving a car and a pedestrian.
The A128 Brentwood Road at Herongate is closed in both directions at the junction with Billericary Road following the accident, which was first reported at 4.36pm.
Motorists reported tailbacks going back to the A127 on Twitter, with one user (@MeganPickardX) reporting she could not make it home as an alternative route had also been shut off.
Jed (@JedPalmer) tweeted: “Avoid driving through Herongate at all costs!
“It’s too late for me. Save yourselves.”
