REALITY TV star Amy Childs said she is “lucky to be alive” following a car crash last night.

The 24-year-old who started off on The Only Way is Essex, managed to escape unhurt after her white Range Rover car overturned in Woddford New Road, South Woodford, London.

Emergency services attended the incident, in which the windscreen of the vehicle smashed, close to a road crossing, outside of a pub.

It is thought that the vehicle collided with a traffic light which was knocked over during the incident.

Following the crash, the presenter took to her Twitter account to thank her fans for their messages.

She wrote: "I am so lucky to be alive thank you to everyone for your lovely messages. God was definitely watching down on me."

The car, which has the number plate WE11 JEL, and is thought to have cost the star £80,000, was later loaded on to a truck and taken away.

The accident comes a week after the star launched a campaign for moneysupermarket.com in which she posed on the bonnet of a smashed car, which had been fitted with the same number plate.
