SCOUTING For Girls are to play at the official opening of the new £45million South Essex College campus in Grays.
The band - whose hits include Heartbeats and She's So Lovely - will perform at the college on Tuesday, November 4, between 6pm and 8p.
The show will be followed by a spectacular lightshow to celebrate the official opening. The College’s music students will make up the support acts.
Students, staff and local residents have been invited to the event and tickets are almost sold out.
However, there is one more opportunity to buy. On Saturday, October 18, during the Thurrock Campus open event, a further 250 tickets will be released.
Jo Taylor, Marketing and Communications Manager at the College, said: "Please attend in person at the open event on Saturday and register for your tickets at the registration desk. They will be available on a first come, first served basis. The open event opens at 11am."
Angela O'Donoghue, Principal and Chief Executive of South Essex College, said: "We’re all really looking forward to this special celebration, it will officially mark the College’s arrival in Grays."
