A WOMAN is launching an app which she hopes will appeal to youngsters and adults alike.

Order Match, a game said to help improve concentration, coordination and memory skills, while also being educational, was designed by Sarah Pharoah, of Rettendon Common, Chelmsford.

The idea started out as a board game, but with many children now gripped to handheld devices and computers, Sarah decided to take the idea to Jabu Designs – a team of app developers based in Bury St Edmunds.

The game is set to launch for Apple and Android devices on Wednesday, October 22.

Sarah said: “Order Match is a stimulating, fun and educational game suitable for children young and old, and adults, too.”

Players will be able to play their friends, “beat the clock”, or solve problems with clues.

But the app’s development has not been all plain-sailing.

The project hit the buffers when an American toymaker opposed the original name – intended for the board game – while Sarah was applying for licensing.

She added: “To find something else was really hard going, that’s when I decided to just go with Order Match. It explains the game concept after all.”
