Man has to be rescued after becoming stranded on first floor of a house
A MAN had to be rescued from the first floor of a house yesterday after a staircase had collapsed.
Firefighters were called to a house in Dock Road, Tilbury, at around 5.30pm after a wooden staircase had partially collapsed.
One man had become stranded on the first floor of the property but was not injured.
Crews used a triple extension ladder and rescue lines and brought the man to the ground floor of the house by around 6pm.
