ONE of the best known faces on Thurrock's railway line has bagged a top prize at the most prestigious rail industry event.
Julie Davis, who manages all of the borough's railway stations - and is based at Grays - scooped the Outstanding Personal Achievement award at the National Rail Awards.
The judges praised Julie's personable approach to her work and the excellent way she has motivated her team since she took up the role eighteen months ago.
She said: "I'm in shock to have won this award, it's such an honour. Really this recognition is for everyone in my team, and all the effort they put in to their work every day."
c2c Managing Director Julian Drury said: "We're so proud of Julie, she's a real star. This award was highly deserved and it is great recognition for all her hard work and the incredible impact she has made."
Julie was also a finalist in National Express’ “Colleague of the Year” award earlier this year, selected from National Express’ 42,000 international employees.
