ROCK fans can look forward to Metalwave next month.
Bands will be lining up at the Circus Tavern, in Purfleet, on Saturday, October 18, for the second year running.
The festival was the brainchild of Jeff Braithwaite, drummer for Chariot, who has been gigging since the Eighties.
Brett Newton was brought in to take care of the lighting and the sound and a new metal festival was born.
The festival brings back together bands from the NWOBHM era and showcases new bands.
Appearing at Metalwave 2 are Diamond Head, Chariot, Monument, Savage, Soldier, the Deep and Satchuration.
Local DJ, Demonize Debz, will also be on hand, playing some pounding rock and metal tunes.
