HUNDREDS of people lined the banks of the River Thames in Thurrock to catch a glimpse of the tall ships sailing downstream after the Royal Greenwich Regatta.
The eye-catching vessels have been in the capital for a five-day festival.
In the wonderful September sunshine, up to 50 ships made their way down the Thames in a parade, led by the Dar Mlodziezy with its Polish crew, as a finale to the event.
They began passing the Essex shoreline at around 3.30pm.
