STAFF, customers, friends and family members from a pub took part in an annual sponsored walk for charity.
Walkers rom the Wharf, in Wharf Road South, took part in a 13mile hike in aid of this year’s chosen charity, the Polly Parrott Appeal for children’s services at Basildon Hospital.
They also raised money for the neonatal intensive care unit.
The walk took place around Grays, with participants stopping at 16 pubs and clubs to raise cash.
A total of £630 was collected and the pub has managed to raise a total of £7,100 so far.
It intends to raise more by holding a car boot sale and a Christmas market.
