A SECOND man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and facilitating illegal entry into the United Kingdom.

The man, aged 33 from Londonderry, was arrested shortly after 1pm today after voluntarily attending at a police station in Essex.

He will be questioned by detectives later today.

One man, Meet Singh Kapoor, 40, died. 15 children were among the stowaways, who were fleeing religious persecution in Afghanistan.

The container was discovered at the port on Saturday, August 16. Police have also released images of it, showing the horrendously cramped conditions that the 15 Afgahistani-Sikh families were forced to endure.

Another man, also from Northern Ireland, was arrested yesterday. He is not expected to arrive in Essex Police custody until late this evening.
