Slimmers race for cancer charity
ENTHUSIASTIC residents came together to take part in a race to raise money for charity.
Altogether, 250 members of slimming world groups across Thurrock made their way to the Harriers Athletic track, in Grays, to take part in the Slimming World does Race for Life event.
The event was organised to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Runners had a choice to take part in a 1k, 3k or 5k race.
More than 100 supporters turned up to cheer on the runners.
Altogether, the slimming groups raised about £4,000.
