A LOVING family has organised a charity event in memory of a man who died from cancer last year.
Taxi driver Frederick Dadds, from Stifford Clays, was diagnosed with stomach cancer in July last year and died a month later, at the age of 63.
His family are holding a charity event a year on from his death, to raise money for the Estuary Ward at Southend Hospital, which took care of the family man in his last days.
His daughter, Tina Dadds, 40, of Gourney Grove, Stifford Clays, said: “Right up until the very end, my dad thought about everyone else and not himself.”
The family are holding a fun charity evening with a disco and zumba at the Greenline Club, in Maidstone Road, Grays, this Saturday, from 7pm to midnight.
For more information, contact Tina Dadds on 07944 959622.
