So that rounds off a good first day for Thurrock! That's the first time they've won on the opening day of the season in 10 years!

Thanks for following today's live coverage.

See next week's paper for reaction and pictures!

Elsewhere today:

East Thurrock United 1 - 0 AFC Hornchurch

Billericay Town 2 - 0 Grays Athletic

Tilbury 2 - 1 Brightlingsea Regent

Aveley 0 - 1 Waltham Abbey - (still playing)

And that's that! First game of the season, first win of the season for Thurrock. A 3-0 scoreline a little hard on Brentwood, who were the better side in the first half.

Brentwood Town 0 - 3 Thurrock

Thurrock's third goal was a great counter attack. Goode pinched the ball in the middle and found Warner, who played through Ross, who tee'd up Reynolds for a tap in. A question of whether any of the three were offside posed by Town officials, but the goal stands.

Great save by Walker, denying Akrofi. Walker's been excellent today!

GOOOAAALLL!! Brentwood Town 0 - 3 THURROCK  - Lamar Reynolds, 89'

Wall has the ball in the back of the net with an acrobatic over-head kick, but the flag's up.

Close!! Warner cuts in from the left and forces Bowls into a great save with a right-footed effort.

We've got five minutes to play at the Brentwood Centre Arena.

Warner whips the ball in, Spence sends it wide

The Thurrock fans are calling Reynolds Neymar. What do you reckon?

Thurrock Gazette:

Reynolds, who has been excellent since, coming on, is fouled by Alaile. Free kick from the right to Fleet now...

Thurrock: Okah comes on for Jack Paxman

Jack Paxman dinks in a free kick from the left, several players attack the ball, but it goes in off a Brentwood defender.

GOOOAAALL!!!! Brentwood Town 0  - 2 THURROCK - Own goal, 77'

Robbie Rees comes on for Sam Cross

A superb move, and a fantastic finish. Jack Paxman and Bradley Warner link up down the right, Warner crosses to Lewwis Spence, who prods the ball to Wall.  The striker rifles a low first time half-volley across goal into the net. Great stuff!

GOOOOOAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!! Brentwood Town 0 - 1 THURROCK - Ross Wall, 69'

GREAT save by Andy Walker. Courtney White rises highest and glances the ball goal-ward, Walker leaps to his right and claws the ball away.

Nice freekick routine by Town sees Baucutt's long ball into the box pick out Alaile but he can't get the ball across goal.

Good flow to the game now, as both sides commit to attacks.

Excellent tackle by Simon King to deny Akrofi breaking clear of the defence.

Great start to the second half here.

Reynolds' tame shot lands in the arms of Bowls.

And from the resutling free kick, Paxman hits the bar. Not sure he meant it, but the looping ball in from 40-odd yards bounces off the top of the bar and goes behind.

Jason Dubbs is booked for clipping Goode's heels as he ran clear in midfield

Sutton heads onto the post for Thurrock!

Akrofi breaks away down the left, skips into the box but sees his low shot blocked by Walker.

Corner and a great start to the half by Fleet

Reynolds!! Just on, goes clear through but sees his shot saved by Bowls.

The second half kicks off

Callum Ibe switches with Lamar Reynolds at half time.

The teams emerge for the second half. Thurrock coaching staff very unhappy with  the referee at half time...but unhappy at their side's own perfromance too.

The scores from elsewhere:

Aveley 0 - 1 Waltham Abbey

Tilbury 1 - 1 Brighlingsea Regent

East Thurrock United 1 - 0 AFC Hornchurch

Billericay Town 0 - 0 Grays Athletic

The whistle goes, and that brings an interesting first half to a close. Thurrock denied a stone-wall penalty in the first three minutes but Brentwood have come closest, with Akrofi hitting the post for Town. There have been several goal line scraps in the Fleet box, but at half time, it's goal-less

Brentwood Town 0 - 0 Thurrock

Louis Baucutt lashes a 30-yard free kick into the wall. Moments later he tangles with a disgruntled Andy Walker in the Thurrock goal.

Akrofi, the Brentwood striker, vs Gilman, the Thurrock centre half is a mis-match. Akrofi is so quick, Gilman can't get close.

James Goode replaces Rob Clark

Gardner sees his cross from the right go behind and Thurrock - who have played the last five minutes with 10 men - can make their change.

James Goode is coming on for the Thurrock right back.

It looks like Clark is being forced off throigh injury here. A replacement is being readied.

SO CLOSE! The first goal is surely imminent. Akrofi turns in the box and his shot beats Walker but is blocked on the line! Courtney White is unable to prod the ball home through a crowd of defenders.

At the other end, Ibe forces a save from Bowls with a low 20 yard drive, before Paxman has a shot from a similar distance deflect into Bowls' arms

Thurrock concede a free kick, which Gardner whips in from the left. It goes all the way through a crowd of players but Gilman clears it off the line!

Great play from Thurrock...the move of the game in fact. Great interchange down the left between Wall and Warner sees Warner away to the touchline. He crosses, Paxman gathers and tees up Spence who blazes his shot high and wide. Lovely stuff though.

Akrofi strikes the post for Brentwood with a low shot from 20 yards. Walker is first to the rebound!

Good pressure by Gardner sees Sutton squander possession. Thurrock trying to play football.

Both sides have the ideas at the moment, but both are also struggling to execute those ideas. Perfect example as Akrofi picks the ball up in the final third, sees Gardner in space on the right, but can't pick him out.

Defences on top in this game. Neither side have made the opposition keeper make a save so far.

Gilman heads the corner clear, Alaile gets the ball back in for Town, but Walker gathers well for Fleet.

Corner for Brentwood now. They're yet to threaten Thurrock's goal. A chance now...

There's little else to report so far though. Jack Paxman starts on the left for Fleet. and Stewart is in the middle - they're the new additions to Mark Stimson's squad.

Ross Wall and Callum Ibe are charged with taking on the departed David Knight's goal scroing mantle.

Decent opening to this game. And Callum Ibe has been denied a stonewall penalty. He broke clear, knocked the ball past Bowls who proceeded to take the striker down in the box.

Referee waved away shouts for a spot kick.
