HEARTLESS yobs stole toys and damaged items on the grave of a young child.

Police are appealing for information after a woman reported that Mickey Mouse toys placed on the grave in memory of her son were TWICE taken from Chadwell St Mary cemetary in Brentwood Road between July 13 and 17.

On July 29, the grieving mother also reported that balloons and cards had been damaged.

Investigating officer Pc Stuart Rawlings said: "This is a heinous offence which is inexcusable and I would appreciate receiving any information about who is responsible."

Anyone who can help is urged to contact Pc Rawlings at Grays Police Station Neighbourhood Crime team on 101 ext: 360146.

This is not only a despicable crime but is probably the most cowardly. When you steal from dead children you really have fallen to the lowest criminal level.

Could have easily been a fox, as they like to play with colourful toys, the real fact is we don't know, other ideas are just that, not FACTS.
