A MAN was shot with an air gun as walked to Grays town centre.

The 44-year-old man from Grays was left wounded by the air gun’s pellet.

He was walking along Seabrook Rise at the time of the incident, which was around 8.45pm on Tuesday, July 22.

The man was treated by staff at Basildon Hospital for a minor injury to his forearm.

Detectives have made house-to-house enquiries and searched for the suspect but are now appealing to the public for information about anyone in the area who might own such a weapon, or has any other information about the attack.
