A HOLOCAUST survivor dropped in at the Hassenbrook Academy on D-Day.
Leslie Keinman visited the school for the year nines Holocaust Enrichment Day.
Leslie is a member of the Holocaust Educational Trust and regularly visits schools around the country. He spoke about his time as a prisoner in Auschwitz and his memories of wartime Europe.
Kaisha Ellis, Leader of Humanities said: “The Enrichment day comprised of various workshops within the Academy and the experience for all was greatly enhanced by Leslie’s presence.
“We are grateful for the time Leslie and his wife Miriam spent with us on such a poignant day and the important messages conveyed regarding prejudice which should never be forgotten.”
